Welcome!

  • We're a home educating family of six living in Maryland. Our style is Charlotte Mason and we love both the Ambleside and Sonlight curriculums, but we frequently wander from the main path to explore "rabbit trails." Here we share our days: home learning, living books, nature discoveries, and life with children.

Charlotte Mason:

  • "We allow no separation to grow up between the intellectual and 'spiritual' life of children, but teach them that the Divine Spirit has constant access to their spirits, and is their Continual Helper in all the interests, duties and joys of life." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thanks so much for sharing. I ordered the e-book right away. I've always wanted to make a Jesse tree, but the patterns I had seemed so complicated (cutting felt, etc.) and time-consuming. This is absolutely fantastic!

I've been doing an inductive Advent study with the kids that is out of this world. Mandie suggested that when we get to a word they're to be listening for, they do some kind of action. It's a lot of fun!! http://miikogibson.com/advent_study.htm

Do you know if this is still available? I tried the link, but it said it was no longer available. These are such inspiring designs!

Kathy
