• We're a home educating family of six living in Maryland. Our style is Charlotte Mason and we love both the Ambleside and Sonlight curriculums, but we frequently wander from the main path to explore "rabbit trails." Here we share our days: home learning, living books, nature discoveries, and life with children.

Charlotte Mason:

  • "We allow no separation to grow up between the intellectual and 'spiritual' life of children, but teach them that the Divine Spirit has constant access to their spirits, and is their Continual Helper in all the interests, duties and joys of life." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Kathy, you can add me to the list of people who would be glad for you to return to blogging! But I understand the concept of different seasons in life that demand different things of us. So when you do post, I will be here, eager to hear what you have to say...and thankful that we can continue our friendship through the modern world of communications!

Love the pictures of your home and children and pets. My heart goes out to you as you are waiting and waiting and waiting for things to settle into place and doing so with Karl far away. Praying for His timing!

I can TOTALLY relate! After 6mo of non-blogging, I've found I really do miss catching up with my homeschool/bloggity friends. Hang in there!

Grace in the journey,

PS. Did you get my new url for my blog??

Cheryl, your words are life to me! :-) Thank you for taking the time to reconnect and encourage.

Melissa, I emailed you but it bounced back, so I must have gotten the address wrong. Thank so much for providing your new blog site here! I don't want to lose touch with you. :-)

Nice to see you again! I always enjoy your posts. I've just gotten back to blogging myself. Best wishes!

Thanks for visiting my blog and I am so glad you are back blogging! :)

Jodi-Marie Drehmer

So glad you have started blogging again. I am so inspired by your posts. It is like you are still in Salisbury and we can chat over cups of coffee and muffins like we used to at the CM meetings.
We are praying for a buyer for your house. Maybe you will be all settled next time we get to Frederick to visit Dan's parents- we would love to see you guys again.

Oh girl, I so understand how you feel. I'm in that weary place too and I haven't blogged since forever. I just can't stand the thought of writing something that would be totally depressing anyway.

I can easily feel overcome with the state of affairs in general (our world) and I know full-well to keep my eyes on Him but I have to remind myself of that daily!

Please know that there is a "someone else" out there who fully understands. Let's press day at a time....together!
